Pro bono is a shortened Latin term meaning “for the public good.”
Every lawyer, regardless of professional prominence or workload, has a responsibility to provide legal services to those unable to pay. Stressful times encourages Americans to do good and personal involvement in the problems of the disadvantaged can be one of the most rewarding experiences in the life of a lawyer. At eCourt Reporters, we are thankful that the American Bar Association urges all lawyers to provide a minimum of 50 hours of pro bono services annually.
Certified court reporters also promote the responsibility to provide services to underrepresented and disadvantaged and are stepping up to support pro bono attorneys by providing pro bono legal support services.
eCourt Reporters is proud to be the only platform of its kind to allow pro bono attorneys access to pro bono court reporting services.
